Administrative Position: Full-Time
The King’s University’s Micah Centre is an interdisciplinary initiative for the purpose of fostering greater understanding and action among students, faculty and staff, and the community at large around issues of global poverty, peacemaking & reconciliation, and social justice. It aims to bring the claims of the Hebrew prophet – to ‘do justice, to show mercy, and to walk humbly with God’ – into the global context of hunger, displacement, poverty, war, inequity, and environmental destruction. The successful candidate for this position will work with the director of the Micah Centre to expand the research and public outreach components of the centre. Teaching undergraduate courses focused on theology and justice will also be an important part of integrating the research and outreach with the educational experience of King’s students.
Academic Position: Part-Time Instructor
9-month Contract
The Faculty of Social Sciences at the King’s University is seeking a full-time instructor in Sociology for the 2024-2025 academic year. The instructor will teach 3 courses each semester and will assist the department of sociology with administrative tasks and student advising. The ideal candidate will have the capability to teach a wide variety of Sociology courses. The courses listed in the attached document are subject to change dependent on the needs of the department.
Administrative Position: Part-Time
Under the direction of the Dean of Students and led by the Coordinator of Wellness and Counselling Services/Lead Psychologist regarding professional practice and therapeutic work, the part-time Counselling Psychologist provides current students with short-term counselling and referrals to community supports (e.g., medical, psychiatry, and counselling). The Counselling Psychologist may also be involved with mental health outreach, preventative action, in-service training and assistance for crisis response, and consultation services to students and other members of the university community.
This is a contract position serving 4-15 hours a week September through April, pending agreed-upon Counselling Team schedule.

Administrative Position: Full-Time
Reporting to the Director of Recruitment & Admissions, the Admissions Student Advising Manager will be experienced in working with prospective students and their families during the application and admission process. They will be responsible for leading a team of admissions advisors in converting prospective student inquiries into applications, admissions, and registrations. The Admissions Student Advising Manager will actively be involved in working directly with students in addition to the leadership and support they will be expected to provide to their team of admissions advisors. In consultation with the Director of Recruitment and Admissions they will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to improve the conversation rates of inquires to registrants. The Admissions Student Advising Manager will also be a participatory member of a larger recruitment and admissions team in supporting the achievement of the university’s enrolment goals.

- Propose and implement modifications to enhance the overall effectiveness of the course.
- Gather and compile a centralized database of academic support resources
- Complete an audit of online training (Moodle)

Updating website
- Update accessibility and inclusion information
Records management
- Scan, record, and transfer files from paper to digital files.
Design and Marketing
- Create and update Marketing items and brochures.
Support Centre for Teaching and Learning during the summer months.

As a member of a conference services team, you will be required to:
- Communicate with clients about contract agreements.
- Attend weekly team meetings.
- Organize hospitality related logistics including room bookings, cleaning, and setup.
- Process catering service requests for events.
- Work on new catering initiatives.
- Deliver excellent customer service and implement hospitality best practices.
- Implement and review customer feedback assessments to measure success and satisfaction.
- Analyze space utilization and determine efficiencies to maximize capacity.
- Creating marketing material and a social media presence.
- Assist in all areas of conference services as needs arise
