Next Steps for Education Students
After completing the general King's application process, student seeking to enter the Bachelor of Education After-Degree program need to submit the following documentation:
- A short essay (750-1,000 words) outlining your philosophy of education. This essay should include reasons for wanting to become a teacher, your personal view of the purpose of school in society, and your anticipated style or approach to teaching.
- A signed statement providing evidence of significant work or volunteer experience with children and/or adolescents. This statement should include an outline of your role as it related to working with children and/or adolescents, and an indication of how long you held that role.
- A signed letter confirming your work experience from a supervisor.
After a complete application package is received, eligible applicants will have a personal interview with the Dean of Education.
The application and documentation deadline for the first round of admissions is February 28. The first round of admission decisions will be released March 31.
