Grow in faith with Campus Ministries
King’s is a place where students are encouraged to grow spiritually as well as academically. Our prayer is that each student would encounter God-centered community where they can explore their faith, ask questions, and pursue a meaningful relationship with Christ.
There are a variety of ways students can interact with one another while expressing their faith on campus.
Chapel
Chapel is the highlight of our week. It’s a time to come together for worship, Scripture, and community! Grab your lunch and join us every Wednesday from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. in the Atrium. We’ll gather for worship, Bible-based messages, church collaborations, personal testimonies, and fun events full of food and community. We have students, staff, and faculty that come from a large variety of denominations, and we love to celebrate the diversity that makes up the body of Christ. Whether you have a religious affiliation or not, everyone is welcome!
6:23 Worship Nights
Join us for time spent in worship and Scripture—with snacks! 6:23 is a one-hour evening service that gets its name from Ephesians 6:23. It also signifies the service start time: 6:23 p.m. For each service we partner with a local church, allowing students to connect with them and learn about their ministries. These services happen on campus two to three times per semester.
Small Groups
One of the best and wisest ways to grow closer to God is through community. Joining a small group will help you do just that! Groups go through a devotional or passage of Scripture together each semester and meet at various times throughout the week. For more information about signing up, email Amanda Duenk, Spiritual Growth Coordinator.
Pop-Up Events
We realize that student life is busy, so we want to provide fun and meaningful opportunities to engage with faith in the hallways and in between classes. Keep an eye out for events like “Prayer & Pancakes,” “Brownies & Bible Trivia,” “Who Said It: Taylor Swift or Lamentations?” and more!
Prayer Room
The Prayer Room (L117) is a comfortable space for prayer, journaling, and Bible study. It is open during building hours to all students, staff, and faculty.
Church Connect
In addition to inviting worship teams and pastors from local churches to participate in our chapel and 6:23 services, Campus Ministries maintains a database of local churches, their denominations, and programs and services, so we can introduce options that may be a good fit for you.
Prayer Requests
If you would like prayer, email your prayer request to Amanda.Duenk@kingsu.ca. We also welcome prayer requests during chapel and 6:23 services.
