The Best Student Discounts in Edmonton
As a student on a budget, the only thing better than free stuff is a great discount! Something you may or may not know is that there are a multitude of stores and businesses that offer student discounts. So if you’re on a tight budget this year or if you’re just looking to save a few extra bucks here and there, here’s a list of stores and businesses with student discount programs:
- Bulk Barn offers a student discount of 10% for students every Wednesday. Plus you can bring in your reusable containers so you can reduce waste!
- Treats and Treasures Thrift Store is just a short 8 minute drive from King’s and offers students 30% off with their student ID.
- If you haven’t heard of the SPC card, you will definitely want to invest in one. It’s a $10 card that you can purchase online or in some participating stores that will give you a discount at a ton of different stores. Most offer a 10-15% discount, and includes places like Bentley, Hershel Supply Co, Ten Thousand Villages, Table Top Café, Chatters, First Choice Haircutters, Rexall Drug Store, The Body Shop, The Face Shop, Indigo, American Eagle Outfitters, Call it Spring, Levis, Booster Juice, Marble Slab, Mucho Burrito, Thai Express, The Source, and Acer, among others! This is just a select few that offer discounts for students. Believe me the $10 for the card is worth the amount of money you will save!
- Edmonton Leisure Access Program: while this isn’t technically a student discount program, if you are a student at King’s, chances are that you are eligible for the program. The Leisure Access Program offers unlimited free admission to participating recreation centers to eligible low-income Edmontonians.
I hope this list was helpful for you all and that you can start keeping some extra dollars in your pocket!
Happy saving!
