Environmental Educator

Position Description:

  • Educated young children on different aspects of nature at the gardens for ages pre-K to grade 12
  • Led educational birthday parties throughout the garden
  • Did drop-in programming, consisting of primarily crafts for kids
  • Led 2 educational nature center summer camps, and did planning for them, interacted with parents and volunteers
  • Set up lesson plan and materials used for variety of activities

What did Reuben most like about this position?

“Throughout the summer I taught on a wide range of topics, but my favorite was the wetland wonders. It is inspiring when young eyes get a closer look at the wetlands.”
