Stephen Fan
Biography
Caixiang (Stephen) Fan is an Assistant Professor of Computing Science. He received his MSc and Ph.D. degrees in Software Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2019 and 2023, respectively. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2012. In between, he worked as an IT engineer at Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd, China for four years. After his Ph.D. program under co-supervision of Dr. Hamzeh Khazaei and Dr. Petr Musilek, he had one year of postdoctoral research experience at the ENTAIL – ENergy digiTizAtIon Lab led by Dr. Musilek, at the University of Alberta.
Research Interests
His research interests include blockchain, distributed ledger systems, transactive energy, performance evaluation and modelling, and zero knowledge machine learning.
